OK me and gav have decided to build a project car, we both are pretty much novices's when it comes to fittings engines and so forth so this may be a learning curve for us
a friend was selling his old Renault 5 GTT rolling chassis, its not in the best condition to be fair but thats the whole point......its a project :D
bought this one for £50, its not as bad as it looks, everything but the engine is in the back of the car, we are gonna tray and do the body work and most of the engine work by ourselfs via the haynes manual, gavs Dad and hopefully some hope from you guys
So here she is at the start of its new life!!! :D

well ive already started a foto diary, im gonna write a jurnal of everything we do along with pics!!!
we are debating on wether to make it totally original and standard or strip it out and make an awsome track and pod slag!!!
obviously its not gonna be a road car so if we fook up it aint gonna mater, we will just welf it up and start again :D
we're gonna have a standard GTT engine so we can learn from that then we may go for he 1.7 volvo turbo engine or F7R!!

thats definatlyu cheap that but would it be a straight forward engine conversion, and i think we have both set our hopes on a turbo but it is definatly a possiblity as its so cheap

Update guys
finally managed to get it to gavs dads workshop today, first things first we gotta un sieze the rear brakes and reset the torsion bar higher so its easier to move around and work on!!
gav's already started on the engine its gonna be sweet will be the same spec as mine if not better when sorted, hes doin a great job on it!!
meanwhile i think ill start to sand everything down and see what is needed in terms of body work, we're gonna do some fotoshops together and see what we think, can u guys recommend any colours??
anyways pics from today 8)

Yeah white is quite sexy. I do love white cars.
Though about being different and dropping in a F7R lump?
I've said it once and i'll say it again (and again and again etc...)
White 5's ROCK!!!
more than likely be black lads :D
keep it tungy grey........imo one of the nicest colours (bit biased as my first was a tungy grey :D ).......they look very nice when cleaned and polished up!!!!!!
