Ex ELF clio cup championship car - now converted to run in the Britcar series.

This car is at the same spec as hippys pink one.

I have attached a picture of it from two years ago when it was previosuly for sale by team think.

To make it road legal isnt very hard at all....a few forms and a mot is needed !

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/73535.htm

For the price its well worth it and im upset i carnt buy it myself. Zollo im looking at you pal !

Why convert a williams when you can buy a ex original already done cheaper !

If someone was to give me 3500 for my car, and the seller put the Cup through an MoT and it passed, I'd seriously consider it

White bumpers, black wheels....Mmmmmm

I'd love one of these. as i'm sure everyone else would... but all the towing to circuits and stuff is a bit of a mission. maybe one day 8)

looks a really good example too... what's with the K&N though

fookin hell is it me or has it got ultimate camber on the front

northy
19-04-2006, 15:33
i know - hence way i posted it here - i bargin i carnt afford.

the cup racers run 4degrees of camber - they have to for the slicks to work.

the loom is all there for the lights aswell. Only think is it that it would need coilovers as the springs are too stiff for road use - ok to get to the shops but would do your head in after a while.

the racers were allowed a induction filter or standard airbox when competing :D

if someone would buy mine for 3k today id buy that weapon. id make sure it was MOT'able, then use it as my road car.

will cost me over 4k to get mine to that spec.

(will be happening soon tho!)

there was two types of cage mate

the one above that goes through the dash or this one.

Both are made by Devil, bolt in and RAC approved for the championship. Have you got the strengthing plates for the cage aswell that weld to the floor ?

I don't like the fact that there's no harness bar on there. I've heard bad things about anchoring your harnesses to the floor.

Sweet as, do like the cup racers, great trackday car, but would need coilovers or something, as that camber would kill tyres driving about in no time.

i have the first one which goes through the dash mate and yes i also have the strengthening plates to weld to the floor, i think one of criags friends made them to go in!!

Thanks for the interest in my Car, seems like i am selling it to cheap, but she has to go i need the space and my other track car (Road legal) is not getting a look in at the Mo.

Did a Lotus track day a few weeks back in the Clio, its great when you are clearly quicker than lots of standard Elise's. This car is ready to go and very fast. :D

Hi

next to no difference... iirc the waterways are slightly different and there's no strengthening veins on the Meggy one. Megane one is better as it's newer therefore less tired, but a rebuilt engine is much the same in either case. dunno about the extra 40bhp, it's probably got better internals and is blueprinted... if there is such a thing lol

Ive spoken with the guy, and seen a few more pics.

It couldnt really be used as a road car IMO.

few dents that would need tidying up as well!

Very nice car, but im sticking with mine. I like the challenge, the blood sweat and tears, and the endless cash i pour into it!

Martin....this could be for you mate?
