View Full Version : tyre size?
whats the size of an original williams tyre (michelins)
i dont understand them apart from the 15" lol....
can sum1 let me kno the size and explain it 4 me
thnks :)
i believe for williams it was 195/55/r15
195 (tyre tread width in mm) 55 (% of tyre tread width (in this case 195mm) that the tyre wall is high) and the r15 is diameter obviously!! and letter at the end such as 'v' represents speed rating, think 'v' is upto 149mph?
werent valvers on 185 on the 6.5J rims n 7J williams on 195?

185/55/15
185 denotes the width of the tyre in mm
55 denotes the sidewall as a % of the width ie - 55% of 185 = sidewall
15 is the easy bit, fits a 15 inch rim
the H, V, R etc are speed ratings
