any1 ever chance tappets cause mine are a bit noisy, also do you have to shim them or are they straight swap, iamgoin to be doin my timing belt soon so i mite change them when iam doing that?

They just noisy on statup or in general??
Not too sure but got a feeling there's shims... :?

so no shims if there hydraulic, then no shims yeah? there very noisy on start up but sometimes they can be a little noisy when driving
yup no shims. u could try an engine oil flush additive then change the oil....
or take ur cams out while ur doin the cambelt......whip the tappets out.....give em a good cleanin.then build it all back up
Forte top end treatment cured mine a while back. About £18 but sometimes crops up on ebay.

ill have a look for that forte stuff then, i just want it to sound right, if there hydraulic cant you bleed the oil while submerged in fresh oil, ive heard of people doing this on sxoc.com, i wonder if clio's are the same!
not really usually block up due to dirty oil ways. you can clean them in thinners. also you should put them back where they came out.
