Hybrid vs CTR

we pull up next to each other on a straight which is about 1/4 mile long, he looks over at me and gives a bit of a laugh, the lights go green and its go, on the pull off i wheel spin loads and he pulls a car length or 2 but i soon gain it back and pull a further 5 on him, at the next set of lights i look over at him and he is no longer laughing but has a face of pure concentration, again the lights go green but this time i launch it good and his no where.

he pulls next to me at the next set and opens his window "What the ****s under the bonnet of that??" i point at the 1.2 badge and go on my way.

See no-one ever does that with me, they never wind the window down they just give me hand gestures and scream off? :shock:

lol I never have these sort od encounters maybe because I drive like my gran + I live in the middle of nowhere? lol

I think I need mine seeing to...not many cars would pull 7 car length on a CTR in 1/4 mile?

Civic S with Type R kit?

I had a doo with one and thought it was a type R until I saw it again and it had a S badge on it.

what mods you got to pull that much on a type r? surely not standard?

IMO, it's quite hard to catch up a proper VTEC engine once they pull some distance on you. I am guessing the fella is probably not too familiar with the engine response and gearchanges. VTEC drivers usually scalp most NA cars below 2litre. He won't be please with a "1.2litre" thrashing he received. :)

its possible it was a sport, their identical arnt they? he may also have missed a gear, but im certain my car would take a CTR, i didnt pay to much attention to the badge's and cant hear anything else but my own car when init.

mine will pan ctrs.........but not 7 car lengths in a 1/4.....lol

2 or 3 maybe....at most.iv given over playin with em now tho tbh..a waste of fuel lol

We've got crazy modded integras here that go STi hunting. They are so lumpy at low revs they sound like Harleys. But on a rolling start, they pretty much hold their own against anything. The damn thing is they look pretty much the same as the regular warm integras.
