The inside gaiter ie next to the box had a split in it.
Err I was stupid and intregued and instead of SAS tricking it I ripped the gater all the way round.
My problem now is that I cannot remove the bit of old gaiter from the bit which has the pin throught it. Might end up cutting all the metal coveres off and sticking a hose clamp on it.
I'm off to Renault parts tomorrow to see if a new shaft comes complete all the way to where the driveshaft pin goes and if it does I'll order one. Passenger side shaft seems fine though.
