What have you guys chosen for induction kits or have you stayed with OEM filter?
What have you guys chosen for induction kits or have you stayed with OEM filter?
depends on what way u want to go.. modifying or OE.. u can get upgraded filters instead of the paper type, I have a pipercross foam filter in my standard airbox.. had a k&n before, so unfortunately I have nothing to go by..
I do remember seeing/hearing when its hot the Add/on cone style can suffer from heatsoak.. (not getting enough cold air and getting too much of the engine bay hot air), you can make/find a shield to try and stop this
I don't think (correct me if im wrong) that youll get much gain from a just a cone style.. if that's the idea, best to go for a box.. maybe go for the bmc style airbox's and filters if u have the cash waiting around for this mod.. quite expensive mind..

Chris, Chris, Chris - induction kits have no place on your pride and joy!
Yes fit a performance filter but leave the standard airbox on!
Standard all the way mate. As Northy says standard box with a performance filter
Cheers lads, I was kinda thinking sticking with a filter anyway so you have confirmed that ha ha.
Thanks for the link to the K&N!
save the money you will be spending on the filter to getting the important belt and auxillarys changed!
Then once your ready to get it on the road do the filters.
One job at a time!!!
Its research Northy calm down lol. Believe me, the belt change is first on the list
Skuttle induction or itb's are the only acceptable non OE items in that area
K&N in standard airbox for me
The skuttle kit to me is the worst thing to do to your car
