    Steering clunk

    Hi all,
todays problem is that when you turn the steering wheel to the right there is a small clunk coming from the steering, you feel it in the steering wheel, it's like a bit of play.any ideas, I read that the steering columns break and need welding, is this a sign of this, anyone?

it could be steering rack, the union joint near the pedals can wear and is an easy fix, with a little weld or 2. if there is no play, which i have had, once found a loose engine mount, and second time was wear in the lower wish bone bushes. all easy to fix.
