i tried matteh's lecci powered steering on his valver (172 powered) and tbh it felt heavier on idle not moving than normal power steering, but still lighter than manual steering.

didnt drive it at speed but i reckon its probably a worthy swap to eliminate messy beltwork and still retain steering feel

the lot of you need to man up a couple notches tbh
there is no difference between a p/s and manual steering once you

What about the electrical wiring. Do you have some schematics showing how you did it?

Michael (I still want the pump though Wobba) :D
On our rally clio we use a pump from mercedes, and a simple switch on the dashboard. Not really handy on a road car. i dont have experience with an genuine renault (clio bacarra/r19 airco) pump

It comes in handy when you are catching a car mid corner at high speed. Especially on wider tyres and with bigger rims.

@G33R7: That's a pump from A-class Mercedes? They are really popular for swaps. You just have to get the model with 2 wires (some have 3).

From what I've heard S2000 electrohydraulic system is very good too! Nicely weighted, but a bit harder to find.

Anyone with AC that tried electric Renault pump? Nobody drives R19 16V or Clio Baccara?

Started taking the car apart... lots of work getting the pump out!
