So what pads are what I need then??
And do they need locating screw holes in the outer pads and a locating lug on the inner pads??
You three all seem to be saying different things LOL

I think there is a difference between what is ideal/OE and what you really need All the pads I have seen have the lugs, so I'd say you need them. The last few pads I have had don't have anywhere for the screws to go into, so whilst I guess they might be ideal to have (are they for anti-squeal?) I don't think they are crucial. If you wanted Mintex 1144s I still have the box somewhere so could find out the exact part number if you need it - they have lugs but no screw holes.Originally Posted by white16valver
this is very interesting thread. to be honest its a stupid design the rear caliper setup, i hate the anti rattle springs and pad retaining plate, seems so stupid, and dosent seem to ever hold the pads in the best way possible.
would be interesting to see what pads the clio mk1 race cars ran. anyone with any information?
