    Ph1 172 wheels (FAO: clow16v?)

Had these wheels fitted to my car for about 2 months (havn't used it much because ive been at uni).

I got some work done on the car today and got told that the wheel is rubbing on the suspension and the brake lines if im on full lock.

Does anyone know anything about these wheels and if they are supposed to fit? Would spacers be ok to use? as i heard they bugger up the handleing!

Wrong offset. I had some to use as track wheels but never used them as I couldn't be arsed with the rubbing so sold 'em on.

its weird though because ive never noticed the rubbing!

are they likely to be rubbing when im say going down the moterway?

Looks like im on the hunt for some turbines.

So can you just run spacers to move them out?

a lot of people run with 3/4 mm clearence between the tyre and strut when on 17's etc.

Not ideal but usable. Might rub on the strut with tired bearings on cornering

Mines fine doesn't rub anywhere maybe the wheels are a different offset.

    So what offset are:

    a) standard valver rims
    b) standard willy rims
    c) 172 Ph1 OZ F1 rims?
