looks good but sort your coolant out or it will blow up
coolant is fresh bottle is not fresh lol. was a dcoe inlet manifold made by chadil in belgium and was not cheap.
bit of a disaster took car for a spin and it quickly developed a knocking noise. checked cam timing etc and for anything loose. Stan came around last night and diagnosed it as big end bearings which were the only bearings that i didnt bother to change (typical). So its all got to come out again. tempted to put the cylinderhead throttle bodies etc on 1.8 bottom end for now just to get car back on the road. Then can tweek 2.0 bottom end whilst its out lightend and balanced maybe even some high compression pistons etc. before reffiting it all and getting it mapped.
sorry to hear that.
always the case when things break - its the bits you never changed
ohh unlucky!
as northy says, its sods law that something breaks that you never changed.
hope u get it up and running again soon!
Thats a shame. Did you prime the oil pump before you fired the engine (i.e. span the engine over with the LT lead off)?
Matt
I'd say that's unfair on Sod's Law! It's bound to be the thing that brakes if everything else is newOriginally Posted by stew_punk
