help - what is this noise

i got my car back last week but every morning when i 1st start it it sounds like summat is trying to jump out of the engine my heart is in my mouth each time
i have took it back to ltr and let it cool down before i started it but no noises so they didnt know
im guessing whatever it is banging about had a coat of oil while running but over night it loses the coating
what could it be
now iv got it recorded ill go back to ltr 2 see what they think it is

between 10 n 20 secs

sounds like a milk cart went past, like bottles rattling

sometimes when i start mine i get tappety noise, but lasts literally seconds

it had cambelt / cluth oil/air filters n dogmount / water pump
the rocker cover was took off to inspect engine

it fades out after 10 secs and then for rest of the day but it dont sound healthy :(

it runs ok would it run shat if it was out
id of thought id hear spluttering or summat

will seem to lack power, but symptoms can vary

its a 2 min thing to check with a strob gun

I was speaking to James this afternoon. Hooli, it sounds like piston slap to me, which is usually signs of the bottom end on the way out.

Leave it until a morning and do a compression test when firing it up, then do one later on when it is warm, see if that gives any differences

its hard to tell but it does seem a little down on power
ill go back hopefully they might check it to eliminate that
