bolt ins are just that...plates welded to the floor, cage bolted to them, cage bolted together inside car.

weld in....usually means cuttin holes in the floor, so u can weld the tops of the tubes etc, in the car, then welding the cage together in the car, from top down, then when the cage is all welded together, its lifted up, and the holes u cut previously are usually boxed and welded back up, with the cage then being welded to them.

The latest clio cup racers are all welded in..... the mk1 racers are bolt in.

Hi my cage is this one Clio 1st Series, CrMo multi point weld in,
    pt# AB/106/144A = £554.00

I'm fitting it at the moment. the car are never gonna be a normal car again after having this welded into the car.

There are a lot of pic's here.

It need's cutting in the dashboard. the tubes go out to the engine bay. It don't have any harness bar. but if you've already welded this into the car then just make a harness bar between the reararches. make two plates with a minimum of 40cm*2 or bigger with a minimum of 3mm thickness. a seemless? pipe in colddrawn metal. with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 2,5mm then it's made as the Fia regulations wants.

pic's can be seen here of my Clio rally project
