    Weekend breaks?

    Me and Dan want to go away somewhere for a weekend but cant decide where. Can anyone surgest of anywhere nice to go but obviously not too far as its only for a couple of days? We are based in the midlands (leicestershire) :D

    dirty weekend eh! seaside resort??? southend,brighton??? not really the weather for them this time of year. but what ya going to be going there for? nightlife or nice walks during the day?? if its night life then you cant go wrong with brighton.

    Not really after the nightlife, just want to get away and chill out, somewhere with shops and something to do...i think a sea side resort would be good...would go to Brighton but its about 3 hours away so a lil bit too far!

    3 hours but a nice straight forward run down there! shopping is good too! especially the lanes.

    Probably be as cheap to get a weekend break in Barcelona or somwhere like that me and a lass I was seeing went it worked out about £100 each plus spending money. It's an awesome city though loads to see and the can be relaxing or the nightlife is good depending on what you want.

    Other idea would be to b&b it in the Yorkshire Dales. Theres no shops but its a nice view everywhere and the roads are awesome. The pubs are good aswell.

    long weekend in Paris, not all that expensive and still really nice and relaxing

    Only problem with going abroard is both of us need new passports as they have expired so thats £50 each already! :(
