how come some engines are f7r and some are f16 ie ?
theres all f7 in the mk1's the f16 ie means f series 16v injection electronic of there abouts

well, i hope it is
i looked at a mag about hot hatches and saw f16 i.e. before i bought mine, so im assuming mine is.
its just confusing for a noob like me, i keep seeing "f7r" and i wonder why dont i have that in my engine bay.....
oh ok, so sorry what is the difference then
16v and Williams have F series engines, the 16 is 16v and I E is Injection electronique, I believe
F7R is the williams engine code
**** knows the valver one, but its F-summat :P
F16 ie is just the general engine spec for the mk1 16v's, but the williams engine itself is F7R and 1.8 is F7P
