Official production record is sub-seven minutes now, in some stupid-named German kit car. Although unofficially, it's a V8 Radical (driven by Phil Bennet, I think?), but the Germans haven't allowed it because it's British and they got upset (true!)

Although neither are 'proper' road cars really. I think that record goes to the Carrera GT, at 7.15, or something similar.

They don't include the radical as its not a German road legal car.
The video is amazing but I still prefere the M3 GTR doing a 6.55 lap (also does the F1 circuit)

Aye that is amazing too but the m3 appears to be a lot less of a handfull compared to the ruf...

didn't really want to mention anything but that was myself and martin taking the Ruf for a quick spin last weekend, I was really aiming for under 8 mins, but martin wanted me to get my back end out!!!!

That is truley amazing, if i could drive 1/2 has good as he can I would be pleased!!!!

I think that's the same driver mate. He's the RUF test driver. I'm trying to find the DVD, but it's only available as a set for $80
