course it's still worth something without an MOT... hybrids usually go for upwards of £2000 (at least), so if your clued up or take someone clued up to look and buy it then you stand to be at least a grand in credit depending on MOT work... which could be massive, but then it could be simple things like a bulb here and there. it's always worth a look at that sort of price, hybrids are well sought after.

... bit harsh on someone's for sale thread either way

if the car's legit which I'm sure it would be you can just re-apply for a V5... likewise you can also send the V5 off without the previous owner as it's now accepted that cars are sold on the muppet garages and they never keep the previous owner details.

V5's another 20 quid, easy enough to apply for.

bit of an arse if you get it then see theres 28 owners and you need to change the capacity on it.

Cars ain't worth much anymore, scrappies take what they can and crush it all due to the chinease at the momewnt.,

Seen alipina bm's, cossies and all sorts crushed straight away cos they can get up to 90 quid a ton thanks to the chinease.

I don't need to read upsetting stuff like that! Stripping them for parts would be far more lucrative, surely?

get cars in, spend time and effort stripping them then hope some one will come along and buy the bit.

or get a car for free, send it to the crusher same day along with the other lets say 10 you got that day.

Thats a grand nearly for no work apart from transporting them.

A lot of scrappies are strugglign at the moment as well to try and come into line with the eu legislation, so a lot are shutting down completely or just taking them in and crushing them right away and moving them out the same day.
