Help Needed!

Hi my Williams 2 has just failled the MOT. Does anyone know where is can get a steering rack from and a throttle position switch as Renault no long stock or produce these parts.... they said they are now discontinued!!!

1.8 16v rack will fit and renault still do them new.

TPS can be had dead chap from any of the breaker...tho may nede setup.

whats up with the rack, is its just the inner tie rod joints gone slack as u can get the kits from euro car parts for £30 a side iirc, that inc's both track rod ends to

I have a PAS rack sat in my garden thats yours for £50 + delivery, comes complete with all the pipes and track rod ends, although you'll need to stick you williams ones on

What's up with the rack mate? If it's just play then get it welded up, cheapest option and there are loads of posts about it on here:

No thats play in the stearing column, not the rack, can't weld up a rack lol

The MoT guy may have just presumed it was the rack though.

Worth finding out exactly what the problem is before spending out....

That's why I asked him what the problem was with the rack

Some garages presume the rack is finished when there is play in the steering when one simple weld can fix it!
