    PAS

    What happens if you simply fit a shorter belt that eliminates the PAS pump?

    u will struggle to move your steering wheel... anyone else would notice an increase in resistance.lol

    I haven't done it lol, was thinking it might be an easier option than fitting a manual rack

    no its not and its daft. A manual rack is superior, without goign into the why and whats don't do it.

    I know a manual rack is superior, and i wasn't expecting it to work, woudl just ahve been nic it it had have worked....oh well back to plan A....manual racjk onot 2nd subframe for when engine goes in

    it will work but the rack will be knackered very quickly.

    It'll be like when you have a flat battery and your trying to move your car to mump it. MUCHO EFFORT in other words.
