    Re-insured + Exhaust fitted today

Hi guys, just got back from me hols in freezing chicago (17 farenheit) to find my exhaust had arrived. So after a full kip i got out in the G'rage and boshed it on. A bit of fiddling later and it looks brill. Not too loud at all, quit tame in fact. Although i still have a decat to go on once its MOT'd.

Pics to go up tomoz. Have no idea what brand it is as i bought it off Ebay. But i think it looks like a magnex backbox, polished S/S, aftermarket centre box with a Janspeed decat. Posted cost me £72.50! Bargain i thought.

Oh and i just got it reinsured through Direct Line for £558 F/C with 5 years NCB, aged 25 in a nice enough post code. A previous broker whome i have used many times wanted £985!! JOG ON!!!

    :D

I did get it off ebay but it was all part of the same exhaust i bought. Its a Janspeed item. I was thinking of buying one of you if this turns out not to be a decat...

Which begs the Q: How can i tell if its a normal cat or a decat?

looking through the pipe it looks kind of solid, and you can see straight through to the other end. Its not a single pipe like some, but looks more like an original cat.

    Would be interested to know.

    Thanks.

My de-cats are a straight through pipe

A cat has ribbed sides, and has a dense mesh in the middle, you shoudl be able to see a 'glow' of light through it but nothing more

Well the whole the other side is as big as the whole i look through. I guess then that this is a decat pipe.
