    driving through large puddles

was on way to work this mornin and turned the bend of this road i always use 2 get 2 work....

and i was faced with the road being flooded!!!!...i could see every1 struglin 2 get through it and there cars smokin afterwards!....

i decided 2 attempt it, 1 side of the car on the footpath the other in the water lol, managed to get through it ok wiv minimal smoke

wot kind of damage can this do 2 your engine if 2 much water gets in there, apart from making it cut out! and how can it be fixed?

You'll be fine, all the electronics are at the top of the engine, so they need to stay dry, also the air box entrance, if itys a closed system needs to stay dry or the engine will drown.

teh smoking will be from the exhaust

if water it sucked in to the inlet it will **** your engine as it doesnt compress.. so when it attempts to compress in the middel of the piston and valves..boom...

thats why Some landrover enthusiasts have a relocated air filter on the top of a snorkel., as per the royal marines.

Saying that when its really wet my engine sucks water in, you can feel it runs really rough, esp when you put your foot down

If water was sucked into your engine it would hydraulically lock and **** it completely.
