No weight reduction needed, that was running full interior. Just the spare wheel out.
I wasn't two-up like him, but I reckon I did pretty well all the same. That was starting off in second at around 40mph, all the way to...well...quite fast. That last little burst I had was the top-end of fourth

Why compare a standard car and a tuned car ?
Any if people on here think a Willy will take an R32 then they are even more blinkered than i thought....
I suppose he was two-up, but there's no getting away from the fact that, from 40mph, he didn't pull away until 110mph. Seemed to piss off as soon as I changed to fifth though :(
Look buddy, std vs modified when comparing a 4WD 3.2 6 cyl car is more than fair, if the Clio was a 2.0 turbo then your point may be valid, but as the Golf R32 is supposed to be miles faster on paper then what's the problem?Originally Posted by monza 16v
Why would that make people blinkered either? Unless they have cams and the works and claim it's standard then that makes no sense, we know a std Willy isn't faster... but no one said it was... (although for the record my NON STANDARD Williams would pish on one )
Haha! Beat him this time . And he didn't have a passenger this time.
Started off right behind him at a set of traffic lights. Both pulled away quick, but no crazy launches, and by 100mph I was ahead (so he was in my blind spot) :P
Only difference on my car since our last comparison is a Hill Power chip and Pipercross panel filter.
