Seat Ibiza Cupra R 1.8T 20v

A mate of mine is after one of these and I wondered who would win overall? Willy or Ibiza? Bare in the mind the Willy I'm getting is cammed, chipped, filter, zorst..... :D

Test drove the FR, whihc is the one down from the Cupra, very good once the turbo kicks in, handling isn't a patch on mk1 clios imo.

Thing i disliked was the fact that there is no feel to anything, you can't feel the road through the stearing, when i fisrt went to ut my foot on the clutch i almost put it through the floor lol, and you can't even feeel teh accelerator under your foot, not a drivers car imo

good cars to go fast in a straight line... look OKAY and that's pretty much it... bit characterless and dull if you ask me...

as regards performance I'd have thought the Willy on that spec would smash it

IIRC BHP wise its pretty much even wiht std willy, maybe slightly under, really can't remember figures of them driving one put me right off

0-60 7.2 apparantly, 180bhp stock but weight quite a bit I would imagine!

Dunno, haven't driven a modded one, only a stock one, whihc i abused wiht 28 miles on the clock
