Ive decided to buy 4 steel wheels and fit Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's in 195 50 15's V for winter use.
However, I will try to assess the tyres back to back with my 185 55 15's to assess the difference.

Do the steels have same width as the Speedlines?
As far as i know. Anyone know?
The Speedlines are 7 inches. I suppose you could measure the steels before you put on the tyres. Will be good info to know the diff between 185s and 195s, assuming the rims have similar characteristics.
on the speedlines you can fit up to a 205 fitment... may put 205 55 on the fronts when it's due for a change
Think there different width. I'll measurs my spare in a bit, think there 6.5" same as phase 2 rims. where as the willie rim is 7".
As long as you got the right ones (60 01 025 900 WHEEL SPARE STEEL 53.50 ---3 x 1) then they are the same width as the willy alloy.
Mat.
Welcome to the great world of great 195/50 handling Mr Stromba!
PMSL. Welcome to the world of the cheapskate :D
Damn it! I've just bought 4 16v steelies off Infinicar which are the 6.5 width - if i'd realised then williams ones were 7 i'd have got them...
