The Golf is 11bhp down and 10kg more, and they're slightly slower mate. Yes, they may be better built, and not rust so bad, but looks is purely personal, so don't even bother with that. Plus.....

Well if a 16v golf is slow then so is a clio valver.
Same power & weight.
A 16v golf is 960 kg's and 139 bhp. They are not slow.
An 8v golf isn't quick, unless it's a mk1.
Some folk who've posted on this thread are just cocks tbh.
