    Gear stick knob

Daft question time. Does the gear stick knob just pull off (maybe need pliers to get it to budge?) and a new one just pushes back on. I have a new one and it doesn't look like there is a screw thread or anything like that, so does it need a drop of lock-tight/glue or something when putting it back on? Is there anything I need to watch out for (using too much force?). Thanks.

Hi Lee...I've never changed one but from what I've read they are a push fit...but very tight so try not to smack yourself in the face when it does come free.

    Regards Ian

I thought the same thought I'd pull off and replace. Ended up cutting off. Just made sure I didn't cut down to the metal. Probably been stuck down over the years

Thanks, I was thinking I might have to do that too (cut down to loosen it off). How difficult was the new one to put on?

New one was easy just pushed on
