    Engine problems

Hi guys, I need some help diagnosing an engine issue I'm having.
It just will not run, it fires up when cranking it over but then just instantly dies, I've replaced a number of bits including the iscv after reading a number of posts on here but to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated

    is it getting fuel?

what have you replaced apart from the idle valve?

My money is on the MAP sensor being faulty, unplugged/broken wire or not having a vacuum hose properly connected

It is getting fuel, taken the spark plugs to see what condition they were in, they look ok, tried cranking it a couple of times, was definitely a strong smell of fuel.

The bits I have replaced along with the iscv:
    Throttle position sensor
    Crankshaft position sensor
Also replaced the vacuum hose going to the map sensor as the standard hard line one had completely corroded.

The map sensor was the next item on the list to be changed

Check the condition of the wires to the MAP sensor plug as well

The map sensor plug and wires look ok, sprayed a bit of contact cleaner on the pins, still no use.

Interestingly enough though, if you manually hold the throttle body open slightly while cranking, it does run.

So this leads me to believe that the iscv is faulty?
