Question about Williams 2 original Wheels

Hello everybody, my name is Matteo, from Italy and proud owner since many years of a Williams 2!

I started sometimes ago with some restauration work and I am now restoring the wheels.

I have a question to you: in my car the wheels a completely gold (but, as I noticed later... they were re-painted... so 99% not original...). I have notice in many picture that some cars have a "silver" area (like in the picture below). Is it original? It is maybe depending on the Chassis number or on country where the car where sold?

I could not find any Thread on this topic!

Yeah originally they came gold with a diamond cut silver lip. To my knowledge only a few places over here in the UK can get them looking original

Yes they should have a diamond cut rim.
