    092 Hello

    Hi
i have just bought no 092 Clio Williams. Its had some money spent on it recently but my plan is to do a full refurbishment to be as out of the factory.. to start i want to remove all running gear and cleaned/replaced as necessary, re underseal the underside.
I want it like new underneath. I may sound a little naive but are all the parts still available? ie wishbones, shocks, ARB's rear beam etc? as sometimes its more cost efficient to simply replace rusty bits rather than have them cleaned and finished.

where do you guys get your parts from?
    thanks in anticipation.
ill post some images once the car lands here next week.

Welcome aboard and if you are working to the standard on the image, it will be great to see your progress 👍.
Lots of parts are still available as Northy mentioned above and RPD are very good. The parts you will mainly struggle with are rubber seals and rear 1/4 panels. Apart from that you can get patten body parts and plenty of second hand stuff from Mat@cliospecialist.co.uk.

As long as you are not looking for standard bonnet hinges without a bonnet attached eh Mat 😉

Thanks. It's more likely suspension and the rusty underside bits. The car is generally very good.

Oh, brilliant! Please keep us informed!

The underside, as you've seen, can get a bit messy. I think my car had the last rear quarter from Renault in the World. Sorry :(

Many body shops modify the lower spec versions, which will fit, but are not right. Poverty spec ones trail off toward the rear, whereas the Willy ones end sooner.

    Yours looks good already.

Strip all the old underseal, drop the rear beam and stuff. Give it all a once over. The rear beams are good for decades despite the rust, unlike the Peugeot 205's which need new bushes. Do the same with the subframe and give it tlc, and where is all bolts on too.

A freshly painted engine bay is a thing to behold. There are a few projects here with the same goal as you.

The forums are quieter now as a lot of the old boy racers have buggered off. We are starting to see more posts from investors now.

Also, if you need new Williams stickers, it took years but finally there are some perfect replicas out there...can't find them right now but search here or ask me later. I've got a spare set here for W1 and W2/3's I think, but I will be using them.

    Thanks
all the suspension, brakes and beams have been removed, The beam and sub frame have been cleaned and repainted. I will need some stickers but im not going to fit them until the car has had a bare metal respray.
Im going to see the car on fri so will take some pics and update.
