Hows the engine build coming on phil?
I haven't touched the engine yet Graham. I have been busy putting in all new brake lines, which has been a more difficult job than I imagined it would. I have put in a couple of hours tonight and have now got all the lines in and connected and I'm pleased with the result.
I have a few non car jobs to do this weekend, but I am going to try to have quite a bit of interior in the car, along with the all new front suspension - now that part should be fun!!!!!
I'm then going to add front brakes, get the system bled so that I can have the car on its wheels again.
After swapping all the door contents into the newly painted doors, I'll get them on and then it will be the turn of the engine and gearbox.
I know that you asked me to remove the timing cover bolts to report on the length, but although I was on site with the engine last week, I didn't have time to go and play with the engine. Its it just one bolt that you need checking on? As opposed to removing a few?
Engine still looking the same as this, although it is on the engine stand now
I may be back when the engine is residing on Sunday. Any progress from your side?
It appears as though there might be 2 or 3 different length ones
