    Any Land-rover Disco 3 owners

As title, do any members on here own/have owed a disco 3? Looking at 1 a my next purchase and just wanted some first hand info ie. MPG, reliability etc etc
    Cheers

Don't do it, unless you like to tinker with cars on a regular basis and have a aside £1k just incase things go wrong! I had mine for 6 months, It was great a family car but expensive to fuel at 22mpg (2005, 2.7 TDV6).

Disco 3 can be problamatic, but a Disco 4 is a different car tbh. Much better. If you can stretch to one of those go for it.

haha 😄 Well I have moved twice since we last met. Finally settled and having a garage built 6x7m so it's worth a trip to st annes just to see the man cave. Ohh and I'm on a main road now too so easier to find!

my mum has one, various bits gone wrong with it over the years but nothing major, until it threw a belt about a month ago and it needs an engine rebuild. 6k bill and 5 weeks off the road, apparently the body has to come off to get the engine out. told her to sell it for spares and buy something decent but she wouldn't listen!
