    Tailgate Lock

Hi all, long time since I visited. Life getting in the way.

Well, 385 is now back on the road but in need of a few jobs still.

Looking for a rear tailgate lock assembly. Sure @Matbrown will have one. Really wanted to not have to have a second key but the old barrel was seized and pretty much destroyed upon removal.

It's in need of a sympathetic paint/body restore. Got the inner and outer sills sorted but I decided that I would get all the bodywork sorted
so it's on its way to spend a few weeks with a pal of mine to mint it up.(peeps that did sills were average -) Paint bonnet, slam panel, rear spoiler, fr bumper and a wing.
Then generally give it some TLC. Oh, and he's going to paint the wheels.

After that, off to a mate who'll install new alarm and sort remote locking and fit a new head unit.

Pics to follow when we're something like - aiming for June

    Thanks in advance guys

    Lew

    Hi Northy, how goes it?
hadn't realised the pics were no longer displaying.
As you say, must of changed something on my photo bucket.
    Which pics would you like?
I haven't taken any recently or after getting it back on the road. Still feel I need to fettle it some before I take more photos.
Presumably I would email them you?

if you could email a few to me on richard.northrop@hotmail.co.uk i will add them back to the album.

I only noticed when i looked back on what car you owned.

You can buy the tailgate lock new on ebay - might be a ball ache but you could swap the lock mechanism over???

Short of going through the posts I've made that had photos and identifying which photos I used,
think I'll take a few new ones this weekend time and weather permitting then just post some up in photos section.
It feels a bit premature to be posting photos as it will be back at the paint shop very shortly to finish off and detail.
Will post some more then so we get before and after.
    what d'ya reckon northy?
