    Day off well spent!

Wash, polish, trim gel, hinges and arches greased. Happy!!

Worth saying the trim gel was after the pictures! And the grease for the arches is anti-corrosive stuff as I've just had them redone and the car will be in my garage for the next few weeks. Low mileage must be maintained!!

No chance of finding a better one since Renault stopped making them! Probably some sitting in a warehouse in france somewhere though. Apparently using a heat gun on it will darken it but I'm not risking it!

Don't risk the heat gun, one mistake and you'll warp it. You can use plastic dye, or get it painted in a satin.

Hi Baz - its looking great.

Coming from Aus, I never have had to worry about rust much; it's fairly dry and we don't salt our roads.

So when you say you 'grease the rear arches' what do you actually use ?

    Thanks for your help

Thanks for the tips with the bumper strip Paul, I'll look into the plastic dye option. What did you use on yours? It looks great!

Winno, I use ACF50 corrosion block grease I found on Amazon. Plenty of good reviews. And it's blue too! I've had sealant put in the arches so that water shouldn't sit in the lip on the inside of the wheel arch. Then I've rubbed a good amount of grease over that to stop any moisture sitting on the metal. It should help with the humid winter air I seem to have.

Fingers crossed in a few years I'll still have lovely smooth arches!

I need to do my bumper strip as well
I had my Williams sealed using clear Dinitrol as it was totally corrosion free underneath and wanted to be able to see everything without colouring it

Clear dinitrol, that's news to me! Something else I'll be looking in to! Thanks!
