For sale on Piston Heads December 2015

It is time for the Clio to go, No. 379 of 400. This car is in fantastic condition following a 4 year renovation and lots of blood sweat and tears.

The car has 113,000 miles on the clock, and I'm currently running her around to make sure everything is working as it should be.

This car is 100% original except for a custom built stainless steel exhaust (OEM spec). I hate rust so didn't want another renault one.

So whats been done and why?

Well four years ago I decided to repair the heater and replace the rear brakes, unfortunately I opened pandora's box. It turns out that French cars rust a little bit! (who knew?) So I decided to take it all apart and put it back together again. Here is the list:

    New Heater
    New rear shocks
    New rear brake calipers
New rear brake pads & discs
    Refurbished rear beam
both rear rear chassis fully repaired
    Rear floor re-sealed and painted
Both rear arches cut out and replaced
    Sills cut out and repaired
    Front brake pads and discs
    refreshed suspension arms
    Powder coated subframe
Gearbox stripped, new bearings and seals
    New Clutch
New Cambelt, oil filter and plugs
    full respray
    4 x Toyo Proxies

The car has just had an MOT and a whole host of other small sundries to make sure it all works.

This is the best Clio Williams (1) for sale. I know that because there aren't any others. Its probably the only Clio on the market that doesn't have any rust on it either!

So whats wrong with it? nothing. The wheels need a refurb which I will sort out for the lucky buyer. I also think the door cards could be better, they look a little worn. If I find any over the next couple of weeks I will change them, but stuff for this car is not easy to find!

Any questions please let me know. No silly offers either, a lot of work has gone into this its worth every penny!

service History from previous owners is a little short but looks like this:

    6,000 (1994) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    12,000 (1995) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    18,000 (1996) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    24,000 (1997) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    30,000 (199 Ezra Sugden Worksop
    36,000 (1999) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    42,000 (2000) Gordan Lamb Sheffield
    48,000 (2002) Junction 28 Notts
    54,000 (2002) Renault Reevethorpe Kingston
    60,000 (2003) Renault Reevethorpe Kingston
    66,000 (2003) Hylton Worcester

Hi pal. Both my Williams have engine numbers on the log books. Strange to have that comment. Is the car a cat c or d? Is as though the car has had a check by dvla at some point otherwise why would it have been removed from log book? I suppose you could just add the engine number via dvla. Have you hpi'd the car? That usually gives the engine number.

HPI is clear, came back with nothing, just engine number unknown, didn't expect to see that on the logbook as well!
The car physically has had a full body resto, just a couple of issues regarding the interior that can be sorted easily
    Cause for concern?

I don't think so, it wouldn't put me off. It depends what your plans and are with the car.

Not really for watching it grow in value or as a long term investment
More to enjoy for myself then hand the 1 and the 3 to my two sons when the time is right
