    Engine Parts for Rebuild

    Hi all..

thread is as per title really , im going to be looking at starting to stock up on parts for a rebuild.. as much OE as possible.. thing is, there'll be loads of bits that ill miss or be unaware of..

if someone has a few mins could you list everything that would ideally need changing/replacing within the engine..

so literally anything you can think of.. seal, gaskets, guides, springs, tappets, pistons, valves, sensors, pumps etc and ill build a list up..

thanks for your time in advance peeps

Don't waste your time, just give the engine to whoever is gonna build it & let them get the parts as the parts you need will depend entirely on what measurements are taken from the crank & the bores.

You could end up buying everything & find that it's all useless because they're the wrong sizes.

You do however want to buy this part now as it's easily overlooked http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1407042182...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

fair enough mate, ill do just that.. As for the oil pump bit u link too, was this what you mentioned to Crossers about his possible ticking?
what do those bits do out of curiosity?

It is. It's a bearing for the oil pump drive, works in the same way as the shells & bearings on the crank, oil is pumped into it at high pressure to allow the shaft that drives the pump to spin
