    Re-spray or leave it alone?

The lacquer on the bonnet of my Williams started to crack about a month ago and now it's a compete mess. It looks like someone has been ice skating on it! It's really disappointing because I was planning on putting it up for sale soon.

So the question is, should I bother to get it re-painted or leave it alone and sell the car as it is?

The other panels are ok but if I'm honest, the car is at that stage now where it could really do with stripping back to bare metal and re-painting. It's No. 0026 so it's an early one and deserves a complete restoration really but I can't afford it.

    Here's some pics..

If you are going to sell it, leave it alone...keep it honest looking.

Just what I was going to say ... except when some bastard buys it for song, changes / cheaply paints the bonnet, and flips it for three grand up in two weeks.

    Happened before, it'll happen again.

If you sell, sell honestly, but sell very very carefully.

Just had some surprising advice from the girlfriend today..

She said that I should invest some money into it to get it spot on because it's a good investment!

I was floored when she said this!

I think she might have mispronounced "Just sell the bloody thing"
