    Urgent rear brake question

So one of the rear brake pads fell out whilst enjoying the Evo triangle and other parts of the Welsh countryside...

I'd ordered some mintex 1144 rear pads, which I was told would fit. They're the right shape, but they don't have the holes in them for the bolts to screw them to the pad carrier. In turn, this means that the small weight can't be secured to the carrier either. The pads should be secure enough without the bolts, but I'm wondering whether that weight matters much? Any thoughts appreciated asap, before I take the car away!!

Also noticed that these mintex pads are a bit thinner than the Bendix OE pads they're replacing...

I have the weights, but i'm currently running without them and haven't noticed any difference.

Coops said he had never seen the weights before when he saw mine, and he has had loads of mk1 clios and does track days etc and has no issues without the weights.

You can swap from fixing screws over to retaining springs.

What I find is if you get ones with holes in them the torx screws supplied are too short
