Back on the road

Hi all I've had mine off the road for over a year now due to money and other commitments but the time has come to get it back on the road again. Seen as its been sat for a long time what am I best doing as in not just starting straight away. I'd also like to get some paint work doing on it and general tarting up as its going to be part of my wedding. I've seen and heard good things about resto shack but wondered if anywhere closer as I'm in Worcester. Any help appreciated.

id check the fluids and just give it a start.. was it running well before its break?
