    Removing original hoseclips

    What are we using to remove original hose clips to avoid hose damage?

    If you get some pliers sometimes you can get them to release by squeezing the clip together.
    If not....Squeezing them from the side and twisting hard seems to work OK, this will knacker the clips though.
    Wire cutters are another option, cutting across the metal bands will also work.
    Hope the engine work is going well.

    Monkey pliers worked for me. They just needed to have a flat face if you get me.

    tut tut tut using pliers guys.

    You need to buy yourselves some of these!

    I actually look forward to coolant changes now lol. These laugh at them clips.

    good lad. I'm having nightmares now of all these cherished williams in peoples garages with malled dog eaten chewed coolant clips on!

    the renault ones will be fine. Give them a clean and a mist of paint - as good as new. Unless your dogs been at them.
