Does yours have white wheels by any chance? Saw one with white rims coming out of Mersea road last Monday morning

The digital display in the dash of for outside temp i believe, mine hasn't worked for years. In the old ebay ad where it was selling for £5k it says this car has had a full strip down, rust cut out etc and full respray. When you get a chance to have a proper look lots of people here would prob be interested in your assessment of the quality of work - hopefully you have a good one. (unlike the current W3 on ebay - lots of stories with that one)

There was a temp display on ebay recently for about £30 I think - does anyone know where the sensor is?

Enjoy it. They are delicate but a fantastic drive - keep on top of the maintenance.

Oh, and the last time I checked, my W1 was running 158bhp with just induction and exhaust and still building when it hit the limiter.

I've just noticed that the temp display does seem to work but there's no backlight to it so it's very hard to read

Nope, afraid not - standard gold Speedlines on mine. Also you won't have seen it out and about as in the last couple of years it has only been out on the road on a trailer!

As Paul says above the temp sensor is in the mirror but if you have a proper reading (not flashing) then there is a relay in the glovebox that is related to it lighting up, iirc
