Williams logbook

I have just regisitered a williams 1 which was on Southern Ireland plates from new but the new uk log book has williams 2 down as the model.i called Dvla and they say to circle the error and write down what it should be then send the logbook in for amendment.my question is should it read Clio Williams or Clio Williams 16v ?

I have a williams 1 #177 log book says clio 16v williams. Also have a #3 witch says clio williams 3 on log book

I sent in the log book to Dvla a few weeks ago there.i called them today to see if they had recieved it,the told me I have to get confirmation from Renault of the model of the car.i asked them why should I have to? They said they won't change the log book unless I do.

I have a picture in my phone of the Southern Ireland log book and the date of first registration is 04/02/1994.im thinking is this date before the williams 2 where released if so its impossible for my car to be a williams 2.i wonder would the Dvla change the model on that basis,or would I still have to try and get something from Renault?would Renault even be interested in helping me with this?

found some info on parkers car advice site.the williams 2 went into production on 1 june 94 till 1 june 95.thats 4 months after my cars first registration.
