Nothing too mechanical. Water pump camber and it's pulleys maybe cam followers as they were a bit rattly rest will be cleaned painted re fitted and replaced if damaged need to reign in the budget a bit as my original budget for bodywork has doubled

Some of todays work done by own fair hands as Ive been allowed to go and do some stuff under their watchful, so ive spent most of today in the engine bay prepping all but the bulk head for paint.

So it involved wire wheel crusty areas on the chassis rails and other areas untouched by welding, the 120 pads on a DA followed by 320 grit then a scotchpad then a blow off ready for masking and painting.

Big thanks to Dave for honesty as hes spotted a small ding in the roof that looks recent as in whilst in their hands so hes painting that for free.
Both doors off too so they can be prepped filled etc etc.
All in all ive enjoyed today and learnt some processes for preperation.
    Cheers.

Nice work there, its good to do some of the bits yourself isnt it ?(leaving the skilled parts to the pro's of course)
That engine bay when its finished and looking good, will always be the bit that you did .
Nice to see some more progress, its getting there now.

I think you need to redrill the front wheel arch trim clip holes Graham - then paint the car. would be a killer to have to drill into fresh paint and loose all the protection it gives.

Take the front wheel arch liners with you to double check.

They're a direct fit matey, it's the inner rears that are lightly different, but when you buy them from carz2 they only send you the face of it so it's pretty easy to make it fit, I bent mine back a little bit

Does this mean that its going into the paint booth shortly?
I'm envious of the stage that you are at, a finished car is looking a long way off for me at the moment!
