Nice one Graham, see they dropped it out from underneath. Thats how I got mine out....with the exclusion of the 4 post ramp of course.
Assume the engine is A1? Not even slightly tempted to open it up??

Was fine when it got sorn'd just gonna get fluid changes cambelt and water pump clutch any perishes hoses replaced and check all pipes for rust and treat accordingly clean and paint and maybe ceramic oat the manifold or source a good stainless one

Love it that one subframe is sat in a pile of rust and the other is sat on mats.

Depends what look your going for.

If you want the "barn find" look then your gonna have to put the top one on.
If your going for show then its obvious. Although I am getting worried about how far your thinking of going with cleaning that block.
Me personally I like the natural look off an old car.clean and tidy is my moto.
So if it was me I would throw a bit of grease,brake fluid and dirt on that cleaned subframe tidy up the engine as best you can without painting parts and the jobs a good one.

But I hold my breath till the next update..

Right my engine arrives Saturday morning got 3 days off to clean the garage out.
