    Just how you mounted it choice of holes. I used the bottom ones on the sump but i need to get the sump off doh

    Just been out to the garage to take some pics so you can see how I cleaverly mounted the engine on the stand.
    Lucky I wasnt smug about it, I have done exactly the same as you, using the bottom bell housing holes not realising that this was part of the sump, what a muppet!
    So please tell me how you resolve the situation as the engine is not an area that I have got to yet - plenty for me to do yet!

    Will do Phil the engine hoist arrived today so I can try and get it off of the stand tomorrow
