Looking good mate!
Looking good mate!
Did you not realise it was that bad before you dropped it off?
Excellent progress. Glad to see your finally getting the car done. Can't wait to see the finished pics
Daz to be honest no bud, im guessing standing for 4 years outside havent helped the cause, some of what you see above have been taken care of by replacement panels, its the crap you dont see between skins under strengthening plates etc etc
Hey Kat Bloke, good to see the new images, they are making good progress.
just got my car in the garage at home now, ready for a winter strip down and rebuild.
Had the car steam cleaned this morning so that I can work on a clean underside, undortunately I thought that the sills were 100% and I have spotted a small area of corrosion, so it looks like I will need outer sills along with the off side wheel arch after all - bummer.
Loads more photos to upload when my fibre optic is done on monday, theyve finished the passenger side from a pillar through to arch, incl front floor, jacking point and sill. Just the rear chassis leg to go before it goes to storage for a fortnight then i can pay up to stage one works
Hi KatBloke,
I seen your comments on DW regarding the build, nice to see a thread here with pics, please keep posting as many as you can, I am finding them very useful and informative ! I have recently bought a Dimma 16v, one of the original ones 31 of 50 I believe which will require a serious amount of work. I seen the pictures on st-performance and have no illusions about what lurks beneath the kit, in fact it will be interesting to see if there is any of the outer skin left ! The pictures you are posting gives me some idea of how it should be restored properly so please keep posting. I have seen pictures from a few other projects which have made me grimace a little to say the least !
Best of luck with it !
Best regards, Peter.
