    door inserts

    Hey All,

is there a trick to getting these off without damaging them? drivers side door needs the fabric re-glued to the insert.. don't wanna go in and rip the c**t off, if im likely to break it doing so..

From memory (and its going back to 2006/7) they are glued on.

I'd gently warm up the area with the wife's hairdryer to soften the now probably very hard glue, then raid the kitchen for her favorite spatula to gently work it off the door without bending it.

I'd then wait for the inevitable bollocking.

The glue is pretty hard so maybe a metal rule would do the job if you can prise them off enough to get behind them? They are basically cardboard with fabric so I would have thought if you do bend it slightly it will go back flat when glued back on.
