    Brake questions.

In the middle of doing my Williams 2 up and bought all the stuff to do the rear brakes.

Anyhow as anyone else had trouble getting the little retaining bar back in the sits at the top of the pads, there just doesn't seem to be any room?

Also are the front calliper sliders still available from Renault or anywhere?

The angled retainer bar sits on the bottom of the pad iirc mate should fit fine if you clean all the crap off or buy a new set at a factors which come with new spring clips as well less likelihood of them working loose and your pads falling out as you drive along as can happen

Does the retainer sit on the bottom? As both sides are fitted on the top of mine before intook them off.

Pretty sure they do mate. If you look at the machined angled edges on the pad carriers one is wider/deeper, the other one is smaller to make room for the retainer to sit on, so maybe the carriers are on the wrong side of the car if its possible to do that? ie upside down, as they only bolt on the caliper.
As others have said give them a good clean to get all the crud off and you should see the difference.
