Barrery off. Unclip all clips, there are 3 black thumbscrews you need to loosen off then airbox should come apart to access filter. Then there's 3 or 4 nuts to undo to remove rest of airbox. As for throttle body, I want to remove mine and clean it all up so let me know how you get on.

Air Filter housing is now off (with battery in place) but I have now run in to my next problem, what is needed to remove these screws holding the TB in place?

Also I have read a lot about this screw and that it shouldnt be touched or something but I also read that it should be tight and then unscrewed half a turn however mine seems quite loose??

You need a torx bit for those bolts, not sure about the screw though tbh

This when you start to build up a tool collection

A full set of torx bits is an absolute must for any mk1 owner, sounds like the car parts fund needs to be spent on a tool collection 1st
