    Williams 2 Dilemma

    Hi all

As the title says I have a problem that some of you wont like...............

Ok, im lucky enough to have the choice, either spend about £5500 getting some serious N/A mods, porting, pistons, cams, valves, ECU, ITB's, mapped, etc but want to stay clear of turbos on a Williams or dare I say it......... sell up and get a Jap import, say RX-7 or something?

I love the Williams but 50/50 feel, for that sort of money I would be better off selling? I honestly don't know how much of a difference I would see by doing those sort of mods on the car? Im guessing lots of you guys would have either done this sort of thing before, or driven one, my question is, how different would the standard Williams 2 be, from its plucky self going in, to coming out of the garage with the above mods?
My guy doing the work has some excellent reviews and is a member on the forum but would rather remain anonymous until the work is done and the pictures are posted.

Any advice or constructive thoughts would be a great help.

    Cheers

My opinion, I would leave the Williams as it is, and would save some more money and buy another car if you're able to have both

Ive had a turbod willy 2, was a pain in the arse. If you want to go for serious powr buy something that was built for it, ive spent thousands on upgrades, and tbh wish i hadnt bothered. Id keep the willy as is, and get something else.

as above, modifying a Williams just devalues it

either spend it making the Williams standard and immaculate or buy something else for power ;)

i was unable to buy a williams (after years of deciding) as i wanted to leave it non oe eventually, and didnt want the guilt or the purists hate of defacing a williams, or loss of value lol. so i bought next best thing ... clio 16v with willy engine transplant lol and now i have no guilt and love it hehe
